Advanced Process Welding Applications

When a welding assignment requires the highest degree of quality, advanced process welders may be necessary to achieve satisfactory results. Advanced process welders use special electrical and sometimes mechanical means to ensure that an extremely sound weld can be made. Advanced processes include pulsed MIG, pulsed TIG, and even submerged arc welding. They typically use proprietary waveform technology that helps to eliminate spatter, reduce heat input, and increase travel speeds. Advanced process welders can also be used to bond materials that would be difficult to join without an advanced process.
